Vinyasa Yoga is a flowing, dynamic sequence of poses. Also sometimes called "Vinyasa Flow Yoga," this type of practice involves synchronizing the breath with a continuous flow of postures. The fluid, almost dance-like movements increase flexibility, strength, and stamina, as it calms the mind and improves overall health.
Vinyasa classes can often be dynamic, which requires the mind to stay focused in the present. The practice itself is like a moving meditation.
The pace will be adjusted according to the level of the class. New students don’t need to worry, Vinyasa is for everyone.
Most vinyasa yoga classes begin with sun salutations - a sequence of postures done in succession. Many Vinyasa Flow classes incorporate some kind of meditation before and/or after the class and will end with Savasana (Corpse Pose), the final relaxation posture.

Recently relocated to Brussels, Iulia has discovered yoga in San Francisco and has been a dedicated practitioner since 2007. Currently a 200 hr RYT, Iulia offers Vinyasa based classes, focusing on alignment, breath, and (of course) playfulness! Iulia attributes her love and dedication to the studentship of yoga to her teachers Stephanie Synder, Janet Stone and Rusty Wells.
